FICO
Fair Isaac Corporation
FICO is the company that created the most widely used credit scoring model. A FICO score is a three-digit number ranging from 300 to 850 that lenders use to assess credit risk.
There are multiple versions of FICO scores, including industry-specific scores for auto loans and credit cards. Most lenders consider a FICO score of 670 or higher to be 'good.' The three major credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) each calculate their own FICO scores.
