OMR
Omani Rial
OMR is the official currency of Oman. It is issued by the Central Bank of Oman and is the third-highest valued currency unit in the world.
The rial is subdivided into 1,000 baisa and has been pegged to the US dollar at 1 OMR = 2.6008 USD since 1986. Oman's significant oil and gas revenues support this stable peg. The currency was introduced in 1970, replacing the Gulf rupee.
