Tongan Paʻanga
TOP is the official currency of Tonga. It is issued by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga and is subdivided into 100 seniti.
The paʻanga was introduced in 1967, replacing the pound at 2:1. Until 1991, it was pegged to the Australian dollar at par; since then it has been pegged to a basket of currencies (AUD, NZD, USD, JPY). The 100 paʻanga note was first introduced in 2008.
