AOA
Angolan Kwanza
AOA is the official currency of Angola. It is issued by the National Bank of Angola and is subdivided into 100 cêntimos.
The kwanza was introduced in 1977 after independence from Portugal and has been redenominated multiple times. The current version dates from 1999. Angola's economy is heavily reliant on oil exports, making the currency susceptible to global oil price fluctuations.
