AWG

Aruban Florin

AWG is the official currency of Aruba. It is issued by the Centrale Bank van Aruba and is subdivided into 100 cents.

The florin was introduced in 1986 when Aruba gained Status Aparte within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is pegged to the US dollar at 1.79 AWG = 1 USD. The 2019 series featuring 'Life in Aruba' won the International Banknote Society's 'Banknote of the Year' award.
