BBD
Barbadian Dollar
BBD is the official currency of Barbados. It is issued by the Central Bank of Barbados and is subdivided into 100 cents.
The dollar was introduced in 1973, replacing the East Caribbean dollar. It has been pegged to the US dollar at 2 BBD = 1 USD since 1975. In practice, businesses use this exact 2:1 rate rather than the technical rate of 1.98 BBD = 1 USD.
