Belize Dollar
BZD is the official currency of Belize. It is issued by the Central Bank of Belize and is subdivided into 100 cents.
The Belize dollar has been pegged to the US dollar at a fixed rate of 2 BZD = 1 USD since 1978. This peg provides monetary stability for the small Central American economy. Both Belize dollars and US dollars are commonly accepted throughout the country.
