Sri Lankan Rupee
LKR is the official currency of Sri Lanka. It is issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and is subdivided into 100 cents.
The Ceylon rupee was renamed Sri Lankan rupee in 1972 after the country became a republic. It is a closed currency that cannot be obtained outside Sri Lanka. The Central Bank uses a managed floating exchange rate system.
