Pakistani Rupee

PKR is the official currency of Pakistan. It is issued by the State Bank of Pakistan and was subdivided into 100 paisa until 2013.

The rupee was officially adopted in 1949. The State Bank issued its first banknotes in October 1948. In 2023, a commemorative Rs. 75 note was issued for the central bank's 75th anniversary. Denominations range from Rs. 10 to Rs. 5,000.
