SCR

Seychellois Rupee

SCR is the official currency of Seychelles. It is issued by the Central Bank of Seychelles and is subdivided into 100 cents.

In 2008, the Central Bank implemented a flexible exchange rate regime, allowing the rupee to float against major currencies. By population, Seychelles is the smallest country with an independent monetary policy. The 2016 banknote series celebrates the country's unique biodiversity.
