SZL
Swazi Lilangeni
SZL is the official currency of Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). It is issued by the Central Bank of Eswatini and is subdivided into 100 cents.
The lilangeni (plural: emalangeni) was introduced in 1974. The name derives from a word meaning 'a blade of grass', symbolizing agricultural roots. It is pegged 1:1 to the South African rand, which is also legal tender in Eswatini through the Common Monetary Area.
