Voided Check
A voided check is a check that has been marked 'VOID' to prevent it from being used for payment. It's commonly used to provide banking information for setting up direct deposit or automatic payments.
To void a check, write 'VOID' in large letters across the front. A voided check provides your routing number, account number, and account name - all the information needed to set up electronic payments without actually transferring any money.
