ALL
Albanian Lek
ALL is the official currency of Albania. It is issued by the Bank of Albania and is subdivided into 100 qintars, though qintar coins are no longer in circulation.
The lek was introduced in 1926 and its name derives from Alexander the Great (Leka in Albanian). The Bank of Albania operates under a free-floating exchange rate regime. As an EU candidate country, Albania may eventually adopt the euro, but currently maintains its independent currency.
