Djiboutian Franc

DJF is the official currency of Djibouti. It is issued by the Central Bank of Djibouti and has no subdivisions in practice.

The franc has been pegged to the US dollar at 177.72 DJF = 1 USD since 1973. The Central Bank operates a currency board system, meaning every franc in circulation has full backing by US dollar reserves. This provides exceptional stability for the currency.
