Comorian Franc

KMF is the official currency of the Comoros. It is issued by the Central Bank of the Comoros and is nominally subdivided into 100 centimes.

The franc is pegged to the euro at 491.96775 KMF = 1 EUR, guaranteed by France. The central bank must maintain 20% foreign exchange cover of its liabilities. The Central Bank of Comoros was established in 1981 and is headquartered in Moroni.
