LRD

Liberian Dollar

LRD is the official currency of Liberia. It is issued by the Central Bank of Liberia and is subdivided into 100 cents.

The dollar has been Liberia's currency since 1943, with historical roots to 1847. Due to strong ties with the United States, the US dollar is also legal tender and circulates alongside the Liberian dollar. The Central Bank of Liberia was established in 1999.
