SDG
Sudanese Pound
SDG is the official currency of Sudan. It is issued by the Central Bank of Sudan and is subdivided into 100 piastres (qirsh).
The pound was introduced in 2007, replacing the Sudanese dinar following the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. The currency has faced severe challenges including hyperinflation exceeding 100% annually. In 2020, the government moved to a floating exchange rate to address black market issues.
