Azerbaijani Manat
AZN is the official currency of Azerbaijan. It is issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and is subdivided into 100 qapik.
The current manat was introduced in 2006 after a redenomination at 5,000 old manats to 1 new manat. The currency is pegged to the US dollar at approximately 1.70 AZN per USD. Banknotes were designed by Robert Kalina, who also designed the euro banknotes.
