LBP
Lebanese Pound
LBP is the official currency of Lebanon, also known as the Lebanese lira. It is issued by Banque du Liban, the country's central bank.
The pound is subdivided into 100 piastres. Since 2019, Lebanon has experienced a severe financial crisis with the currency losing over 98% of its value on parallel markets. The official rate of 1,507.5 LBP per USD became disconnected from market reality, with multiple exchange rates emerging.
